I’m currently a member on the annual cycle, how does this change affect me?
  • If you are enrolled in auto-renew, you are welcome to stay on the annual cycle or switch to monthly if you prefer.

  • If you are not enrolled in auto-renew, you will switch to the monthly cycle upon your next renewal.

Why did you make this switch?
  • Simplifying our membership program will allow us to reduce administrative costs, and put more of your membership dollars to work out on the trails.

  • The switch to a monthly cycle will help smooth out the peaks and valleys in our funding, while enabling our members to spread their dues out across the year.

There were 6 levels of membership and now there are only 4, which benefits will I receive if my membership level was removed?
  • Your membership will be “rounded up” to the nearest current membership level.

  • “Trail Steward” level members will receive the benefits of “Trail Guardian”

  • “Trail Champion” level members will receive the benefits of “Trail Hero”

I would like to pay my dues via check, cash, or donor advised fund. What should I do?
  • Credit cards are our preferred method of payment due to the minimal amount of staff-time required to administer.

  • However, we are happy to accommodate most other payment types. Contact [email protected] to notify us if you plan to use an alternative payment method.

Why don’t you offer “free” swag with membership anymore?
  • The costs of inventory, storage, and shipping consumed a significant portion of many member’s dues. Our mission is to build and maintain trails, not sell clothing. By decoupling membership from clothing, more of our member’s dues can be put to their intended use.

  • Our Member’s Webstore offers a wider variety of members-only, affordable merchandise available year round. This new merchandise is produced and shipped by a partner who specializes in made-to-order clothing.

  • Merchandise in the Member’s Webstore is priced at the cost of production – we break even on every sale.
