Additional Details + Opportunities to Engage
Adopt-a-Trail | See your brand on a trailhead! When you support the Adopt-a-Trail program, you fund the maintenance of a specific trail in Santa Cruz County. You’ll be represented on trailhead signage, and receive a shoutout when we mention the trail on social media. Ask Maddie Ortenblad ([email protected]) for a list of available trails. |
Demo Days | This bi-monthly program maintains all trails throughout Soquel Demonstration State Forest, a Bay Area mountain biking destination. It appeals to our most dedicated mountain biking volunteers; usually experienced trail users looking for a day of challenging trail work. Events take place every first and third Friday of the month, and volunteers work hard to improve drainage, fix berms, clear drains, and remove debris along the trails. Sponsors will be included on program assets (webpage, social media, etc.). |
Dig Days | Dig Days are our premier trail work events that bring together 50-100 volunteers for a day of supported trail work. These events are known to sell out fast–they’re a fan favorite amongst volunteers. Sponsors will be included on program assets (webpage, social media, etc.), and get the opportunity to address the 50+ attendees in person throughout the day. Limited availability, first come first served. |
Trail Academy | Our free online and in-person Trail Academy courses teach trail users about modern trail construction and maintenance. We host 12+ Trail Academy classes each year, and classes range from 15-300 students. Sponsors get included on course materials and receive a shout-out at the beginning and end of each class. We have the ability to host in-person Trail Academy courses in a sponsor’s space–showroom, shop, brewery, etc. |
Teens on Trails | This monthly youth-oriented event series encourages middle and high school students to get involved in trail stewardship. Events rotate throughout the county, and at each one, students learn about natural ecosystems, give back to local trails, and make new friends with one another. Your sponsorship introduces more youth to the magic of trails to inspire continued love and respect for our open spaces. Sponsors will be included on program assets (webpage, social media, etc.). |
Trails for All - LGBTQIA+/Senderos Para Todos | These two monthly volunteer trail work event series provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for LGBTQIA+ and Spanish-speaking community members. Trails for All events are hosted by femme-identifying SCMTS staff members, and Senderos Para Todos events are hosted by Spanish-speaking staff. These events aim to change the status quo and grow a more diverse community of trail stewards. Sponsors will be included on program assets (webpage, social media, etc.). |
National Trails Day | All sponsors above 10k are automatically included as a gold-level event sponsor. Al la carte sponsorship is available as well. Please chat with Maddie Ortenblad ([email protected]) to learn more. |
Please note: Sponsorship funds are treated as unrestricted funds.
