FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to stay overnight? No, while we'd love for you to join us for the whole weekend, you can come and go as you please. Join us for just the BBQ or Sunday breakfast—it's up to you!
Are meals & beverages provided? We will provide dinner and snacks Saturday evening, breakfast Sunday morning, and beverages (alcohol & N/A). We will try our best to cover different dietary restrictions but if you have specific needs or wants you are welcome to bring your own food and bev.
Should I bring my own camping gear? Yes! If you are choosing to camp out with us you need to come prepared with ALL necessities you would have if going camping on your own (tent, pad, sleeping bag, etc.). This also includes paper products, soap, etc. Car camping is allowed but we will not be able to accommodate room for RVs or trailers.
What facilities are available? There will be access to flush toilets, hot water showers, and potable water from kitchen.
Can I bring my dog? Unfortunately, furry friends have to stay home. No dogs (or other pets) are allowed at Camp Loma.
Can I bring my kids? Kids are allowed under guardian supervision.
Is there bike storage? No. You are to be responsible for your own bike if you choose to bring it. We don’t suspect any issues but feel free to bring locks, etc.
Should I bring food? SCMTS will be providing dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning. If you would like an evening snack or want to be prepared with lunch on Sunday, feel free to bring your own food (and a way to store it). We recommend bringing some extra drinking water for convenience.
Is there swimming? We’re working on securing a lifeguard to open the pool. Pack a bathing suit just in case!
What’s the weather going to be like? Keep an eye on the forecast as we get closer to the date. But we’re expecting it to be warm during the day and get chilly as soon as the sun goes down. Bring layers! Having a beanie never hurts.
Do I need 4WD to get there? No. Any car, moto, bicycle, etc. won’t have an issue accessing Camp Loma. Carpooling is always encouraged!
