Honor Your Favorite Parks for National Trails Day
National Trails Day was our biggest trail work event ever! This year, honor your favorite parks and trails with a special gift in the name of National Trails Day.
A generous donor has offered to double every gift made, up to $50,000, between now and June 12th.
At National Trails Day this year, we brought together over 600 people that gave a combined 2,500 hours of trail work to local trails in one day! Check out the full photo album here.
Events like this create essential connections between trail users and natural landscapes to inspire lifelong passion for conservation and stewardship. And as we head into a historic National Trails Day, one generous donor has offered to double every Timeless Trails gift up to $50,000.
Will you make a contribution in the name of trails? All gifts support our Timeless Trails campaign, which includes stewardship activities like National Trails Day, plus 19 miles of brand new trail at Cotoni-Coast Dairies and fire relief work in Big Basin.
Every Day is Our National Trails Day
While National Trails Day is only one day out of the year, our crews are in the field stewarding your favorite trails every single day. If you believe in the transformative power of trails, consider donating today to support ongoing stewardship efforts. Make a gift in support of trails today, and see your impact DOUBLED on the spot.
Alongside new partners, we’ll create everlasting connections and protect the outdoors.
Trails spark inspiration. Trails bridge communities. Trails ignite a love of the outdoors. Our trails, pump tracks, and volunteer events create essential connections between trail users and natural landscapes to inspire lifelong passion for conservation and stewardship.
With new partners like the Coastal Watershed Council, Watsonville Wetlands Watch, and Save Our Shores by our side, we can reach more people and do more good.
Transforming Lives, Protecting Lands
“Volunteering with SCMTS has completely transformed how I think about trails. I never realized how much thought and planning goes into creating a trail that is both fun and sustainable. Now, every time I go on a hike, I can't help but notice the details that make the trail what it is. I’m excited to keep volunteering and giving back to the open spaces I love!” — Linda, SCMTS volunteer
Power On
Building and maintaining trails happens all year long. And there are lots of ways you can connect with other riders and hikers to dig in the dirt, learn techniques for building world-class trails, and much more.
